Sammi Johnson, owner and founder of PriorityMe, has had a longtime dream of hosting inspirational weekend retreats for women. As a career-minded, socially active mother of three, Johnson’s ideas grew out of a passion for doing what she enjoys — hosting events that will ultimately empower women to be the best they can be, thus taking control of their potential.
“I think women should take breaks from the stresses and strains of everyday life and come to a retreat for rejuvenation,” Johnson explains. “As women we thrive when we have a constant reminder of our value.”
That’s where PriorityMe steps in — providing tools and support. PriorityMe holds workshops, socials and retreats for women all year around. Soon we will be adding webinars so you can participate in the workshops night or day from anywhere in the world!
“It’s no longer hip to sacrifice 'you' for a career, a partner, a child. Women must also make themselves a priority — and PriorityMe is here to show them how,” Johnson continues.
PriorityMe.com is a fully interactive Web site where women can learn, ask questions and engage with like-minded women. Members of PriorityMe can blog, read blogs and connect with women of all walks of life — women who all have the same goals and aspirations to excel. The Web site is free and features articles and blogs written by professionals, doctors, moms and women just like its members.
"PriorityMe will be there every day to give women a sense of community and permission to make themselves a priority,” Johnson says.
PriorityMe will host Social Nights where women can mingle over dinner or drinks, building strong relationships. “Camaraderie has shown to improve women’s physical and mental health, as well as their productivity in their communities,” Johnson mentions.
In addition to a highly interactive Web site and fun Social Nights, PriorityMe offers workshops and retreats for women interested in expanding their horizons. Workshops have a topic, but the main goal will be to achieve personal growth and fulfillment. This can be done while doing an art project, discussing politics, discovering investment strategies or learning yoga. The workshop topics vary widely so it will be easy for women to find their niche.
“All of our events instill a sense of confidence and bravery in women so they feel empowered to pursue their dreams,” Johnson says with her own brand of apparent confidence. “As we grow older we tend to become a little less than hopeful, but we call it being realistic. I want women to know there are no boundaries to their potential, no matter their age or stage in life.” Women are encouraged to visit the Web site every day for a new “Daily Dose”of inspiration, and to enter our Free Stuff Friday giveaway! Also engage in conversations with members and the authors of blogs and articles, and ask questions about who you are and where you want to be in your future. There are no wrong answers or harsh judgments with PriorityMe. Every woman has different goals and dreams — but the paths to reach them aren’t much different.
